Appearance: Kara desires to look presentable at all times. She wears clothing that depicts her as a leadership figure, with a blazer, dress skirt and dress shoes, all in black. She does not like to be in combat situations, but understands that sometimes it is unavoidable, so therefore she is always on edge in fear of being attacked. As for her face, she is not overly pretty, nor fierce-looking. Kara does not like being classified as a leader, so even though she looks very sharp and powerful, she tends to shrink into a crowd of people, even though she is a friendly person.

Backstory: Kara was an ordinary high school girl. She studied hard, had lots friends, and generally liked her lifestyle way it was. One day, Kara and her friends, Jenna and Locke, decided to go to a senior party. They didn't know what they were getting into. Kara drove them there in her parents car. When they got to the party, things were going fine up until midnight, then things got out of control. Kara and her friends decided to leave, but others chased them. Once in the car, she floored the accelerator and took off. She didn't realize how fast she was going until the car crashed and caught fire. Kara and Locke died, but Jenna did not. Instead, she was rushed to the aid of her father, who was a biotech scientist. He managed to save
 Her, but she became diagnosed with a slight brain disorder from the burns. Jenna is still alive, and will probably live for many, many more years. Each day she mourns the loos of her beloved friends Kara and Locke, who she hopes will someday come back from the dead, even though she knows it is highly unlikely. Nonetheless, she is the only thing poor Kara has left to hold on to. Her adoration became both Kara and Locke's entry fees.
Meanwhile, Kara was thrust into the game three days after Locke, who had died three days earlier (Kara had been rushed to the hospital, but after three days her family had removed life support), been sent into the game and died almost immediately.
